Brooke Nadolny of L’Anse Creuse homers twice to tie Dew of Mona Shores for state record of 22 homers in a season

Roseville – Sophomore shortstop Brooke Nadolny of Harrison Township L’Anse Creuse hit her 21st and 22nd home runs of the season on Friday to tie the state record for home runs in a season.
On Thursday Junior first baseman Taylor Dew of Muskegon Mona Shores hit her 21ST and 22nd home runs at home against Whitehall to temporarily move past Nadolny and Abby Krzywiecki of Farmington Hills Mercy who hit 20 last season.
Nadolny led L’Anse Creuse past St. Clair Shores Lakeview in a district semifinal at Roseville but the Lancers lost to St. Clair Shores Lake Shore in a Division 1 district final that ended their season.
Dew will get another shot at moving past Nadolny today as she and her Mona Shores teammates take on Muskegon Reeths-Puffer in a Division 1 semifinal at Holland West Ottawa at noon.
