Detroit Sports Commission and Detroit PAL Partner on Field Clean-Up

Detroit’s Stoepel Park No.1 received a football facelift courtesy of the Detroit Sports Commission and high school football players and coaches from the 2013 DSC Prep Kickoff Classic during the inaugural “Prep Kickoff Classic Field Blitz” today. (Please see our full VIDEO JOURNAL of this story at the weblink following the story).
The DSC partnered with Detroit PAL to spruce up the football field that is home to the PAL Broncos’ youth football program.
The DSC along with players and coaches from Birmingham Brother Rice; Cass Tech; Oak Park; Orchard Lake St. Mary’s and Southfield high school football teams and players and coaches from the PAL Broncos’ program leveled uneven portions of the field, dropped new top soil, planted seed and painted the goalposts, equipment shed and blocking sled.
Advanced tickets for the Prep Kickoff Classic are now on-sale for $8 at participating schools. Game-day tickets at the gate are $10.
