DIVISION 2 SOFTBALL ROUNDUP: Livonia Ladywood, Stevensville Lakeshore advance to state championship game

Livonia Ladywood  4, Waylon Union 3 (10) – At East Lansing, Ladywood needed extra innings to punch a ticket to Saturday’s state championship game, seeing Hayley Lawrence win it with an RBI double in the 10th and propel the Blazers into the state finals for the second time in the past three years.
Rozlyn Price, Ladywood’s crafty ace in the circle, got the victory and added a 2-RBI double in the sixth inning to give the Blazers a 2-0 advantage.
Rachel Hendrickson was 2-for-3 at the dish for Ladywood (29-13) and came across with the winning-run.
Stevensville Lakeshore 7, Crosswell-Lexington 4 – At East Lansing, Rachael Reidel had a monster day, sparking Lakeshore to the win by going 3-for-3 with two triples and 3 RBI.
Lakeshore improved to 35-9.
Crosswell-Lexington concluded its season with a 30-2 record and was led by Kylee Barrett’s home run in the stat sheet.
