DIVISION 4 SOFTBALL ROUNDUP: Kalamazoo Christian, Rogers City advance to state championship game

Division 4 softball state semifinals
Kalamazoo Christian 6, Vestaburg 1 – At East Lansing, cruising from the circle, Rebekah Van Dam tossed a 4-hitter with 12 strikeouts to send her team into the state finals Saturday. Aliyah Lemmer went 2-for-3, with a pair of RBI and 3 runs-scored to anchor Kalamazoo Christian’s offensive exploits.
Kalamazoo Christian upped its record to 28-16.
Vestaburg finished its season at 27-9.
Rogers City 11, Fowler 1 – At East Lansing, Cassie Brege and Morgan Hall each tallied 3 hits and 3 RBI to fuel Rogers City’s artillery and lead their club to a mercy-win in only five innings of action. With the convincing victory, Rogers City raised its’ record to 33-6.
Fowler brought the curtain down on its’ season with a 26-7 mark.
