The shooting star chronicles

Hamilton Southeastern junior offensive lineman Styles Prescod is now a composite 4-star recruit and got offers from Ole Miss and Coach Prime & Colorado over the weekend. The 6-foot-6, 285-yard behemoth recently earned bids from Alabama, Tennessee, Minnesota and Illinois.

Pass Catchers Paradise In The Mitten: Several of Hoosierlands best wide receivers and tight ends traveled to Michigan for visits last weekend.

Fort Wayne North Side junior blue-chipper Brauntae Johnson (WR), Fort Wayne Leo sophomore Brock Schott (TE), New Haven junior juggernaut Mylan Graham (WR) visited Michigan State University in East Lansing. Fast-rising Nappanee Northwood junior NiTareon Tuggle (WR) visited the University of Michigan right after the Wolverines offered him — Tuggle, who caught 15 touchdowns in ’22, also just snatched bids from Washington and Texas A&M.

The Baby Baller Name Game

Five names to know this offseason in the IHSAA’s Class of ’25 on defense;

Tyrone Burrus (Warren Central DE) — Insane upside and instinct coming off the edge

Freddy Brown (Hammond Morton S) — Mighty fine playmaker out of the secondary

Cruz Williams (Westfield LB) — Fearless and ferocious finesse sideline to sideline

Frank Bertram (Ben Davis DL) — Born to kill in the trenches, scrappy, crafty and tough-as-nails
