HamTown Hooping Into ’23 — Bailey III Joins Hamtramck Cosmos Cage Squad After West Coast Swing

Chuck Bailey III is locked and loaded for the 2023 hoops season and enrolled at Hamtramck High School. Bailey (6-5) transferred back to Michigan after spending the last two years out west, first in Arizona and then at disgraced hip-hop mogul Kanye West’s now-shuttered Donda Academy prep school in California.
He played his freshman season in the OAA at Birmingham Groves. As a sophomore, Bailey averaged 32 points per game and picked up scholarship offers from TCU, Tulane, New Mexico, Detroit and Loyola Marymount. His bulldog style attacking the rim and his velvety soft touch from the perimeter make “CB3” a name to watch for this winter. Whenever CB3 steps foot on the floor, it’s pure excitement and his presence should ignite an already-seasoned HamTown lineup.
Both Bailey and his new backcourt partner at Hamtramck, senior point guard, Amari Allen are dark horses in the Mr. Basketball race. Allen helped spark the Cosmos to a spot in the Division 1 regional finals.
