Help wanted in Hoosierland: State Champs Indy is looking for local correspondents

Are you a high school sports nut, like we are? Does the smell of fall in the air make you think more of Friday Night Lights and the popping of pads, not Pumpkin Spice lattes and cider mills? Love the squeak of sneakers on the gym floor, the thump of a referee pounding the mat for a pin? Do you follow a sport that you think deserves more attention than it gets? Are you someone who has the scoop on the local team before any of your friends?
If it’s yes to any of those, that’s why we need you.
As State Champs Network expands from our original home in Michigan into the prep sports-rich state of Indiana, we’re looking for people in the Indianapolis area (and other metro areas around the state) to cover games for us, write feature stories, rank teams and players. If you’d like to join our network of correspondents, send your contact information, as well as your background in sports — and a sample of your writing, too — to our coordinator of correspondents, Matthew B. Mowery ([email protected]).
We’ll pay you to talk about what you love, and help the kids in your area get the coverage they deserve. We need you to help fill this space, and knock this help wanted sign off the web site.
