The West was won in the Circle City. In recruiting that is. Western Michigan University has its next deep threat.

Warren Central senior wide receiver Joe Walker committed to Western Michigan this week, with the Broncos bagging a real sleeper.

This under-the-radar 6-foot-4 field stretcher at split end also had offers from Indiana, Purdue, Pittsburgh and a slew of MAC schools.

Walker blasted on to the recruiting scene last summer with a collection of impressive outings on the camp circuit. He then followed up his prosperous offseason with a great junior campaign in 2021, catching 50 balls for 815 yards and 12 touchdowns. Scouts see him as a home run hitter most of the Big Ten decided to ignore and predict a high upside for his college career.

Ben Davis senior defensive lineman Larry Hart committed to Illinois State over last weekend, bringing the Red Birds a terror in the trenches known for his intensity and high motor. Hart (6-5, 265) recorded 60 tackles and 3 sacks last year.
