Belleville senior linebacker Jeramiah Beasley committed to the University of Michigan on Wednesday night via his social media accounts.
Beasley (6-2, 210) is a 4-star recruit according to 24/7 Sports, Rivals and ESPN. All of those recruiting services slot Beasley in the Top 25 at his position nationally. He’s projected to compete for early playing time in Ann Arbor at middle and inside backer. In 2022, Beasley booked 102 tackles and 6 sacks and snagged a second championship ring.
Beasley’s Belleville Tigers are the two-time defending state champion in Division 1 and will be a favorite to three-peat in 2023. He took visits to Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois and Missouri this month. Besides those four schools, Beasley held scholarship offers from Penn State, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Syracuse, Nebraska, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Louisville, Cincinati, Pittsburgh, Kentucky and Kansas. His Top 5 came down to UofM, MSU, Kentucky, Tennessee and Pitt.

West Bloomfield senior cornerback Jamir Benjamin flipped his college commitment to Northwestern from Stanford earlier this month.
Benjamin de-committed from Stanford back in the spring. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound lockdown cover corner is a consensus 3-star prospect and the No. 1 player at his position in the MHSAA’s Class of 2024. He had more than two dozen scholarship offers to choose from, including bids from Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Maryland, Iowa, Purdue, Georgia Tech, Duke, Louisville, Missouri and Nebraska.
Northwestern didn’t offer until May. This fall, Benjamin will team with Central Michigan-commit Bryce “Blaze” Row to form one of the best cornerback tandems in the area for the L-Boyz in the Swamp.

Janda (6-5, 250) committed to Air Force
Entering the 2023 campaign, Janda will be the No. 1 rated pass rusher in the ultra-competitive Catholic League Central and the No. 3 overall defensive end in the MHSAA’s Class of ’24, per 24/7 Sports He collected 8 sacks last season as a junior. Harvard offered earlier in the month. Army, Columbia and Penn also dropped scholarship bids off at Janda’s doorstep.
