Homestead senior wide receiver Trevin Taylor committed to Harvard this week. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound soft-handed pass catcher chose Harvard over other Ivy League offers from Yale, Princeton, Cornell and Columbia. Taylor was one of Indiana’s most reliable receivers during the past two seasons.

Avon sophomore offensive lineman Blake Fisher, the top prospect in the state’s Class of 2021, visited Notre Dame last weekend. Fisher (6-foot-6, 300 pounds) holds offers from ND, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Iowa, Purdue and Indiana.

Ben Davis senior offensive tackle Dawand Jones, the hottest prospect in the state right now, continued to gain serious traction in his recruiting as another Power 5 school has come into the picture: Florida State extended a bid this week. Last week, USC, Mississippi State and Indiana came in with Jones’ first three offers, a deluge of activity in just 72 hours. Word circulating out of Ann Arbor is that Michigan may be offering soon. In other words, the 6-foot-8, 365-pound pancake prince is BLOWING UP THE SPOT!!

Warren Central senior wide receiver David Bell, the best split end in the state and the No. 1 player left on the recruiting board for the state’s Class of 2019, visited Purdue last week and will be in Columbus next week for the Ohio State-Michigan game.
