Five For Fighting — Burney’s Top 5 College QB Prospects In Hoosierland For 2019 Season

Brady Allen (Gibson Southern, 6-foot-5, 210 pounds Class of 2022) — The best prospect in the state calling signals is just a pup, but the total package picking apart defensive backfields. Believe it!!! This kid has the magic touch threading a needle. My man B-REAL is the TRUTH, scrappy and surgical in the pocket. He threw for 2,441 yards and 29 touchdowns as a freshman. Indiana, Purdue and Virginia Tech have all offered.

Donaven McCulley (Lawrence North, 6-foot-4 1/2, 190 pounds Class of 2021) — A blizzard of nastiness under center, INSANE upside at the next level … ’NUFF SAID!! IU offered last summer. Cincinnati came in with a bid this week.

Roman Purcell (Warren Central, 6-foot-1, 190 pounds Class of 2020) — Expect a GINORMOUS senior campaign for this thoroughbred of a dual-threat who backed up Alabama-bound Jayden George on WC’s 2018 state title team. Purcell Landed at WC last offseason from Cathedral. TCU, Kentucky, Louisville are recruiting him hard right now.

Ira Armstead (South Bend Adams, 6-foot-4, 200 pounds Class of 2020) — Cannon of an arm, slick feet and a high huddle IQ. Has over a dozen mid-major and Ivy League offers right now, yet what has already been a solid offseason will almost certainly have the Big Ten schools sniffing in his direction soon. Last fall, he accounted for 2,210 yards and 12 touchdowns through the air and 1,105 yards and 17 scores on the ground.

Ben Easters (Brownsburg, 6-foot-3, 185 pounds Class of 2021) — Composure and consistency personified plying his trade in the pocket, the Brown Bomber filled the stat sheet for 1,886 yards and 21 touchdowns passing as a sophomore in 2018. The offers will begin pouring in this summer. He took visits to Michigan State and Northwestern in recent weeks.
