MIDWEST RECRUITING: Homestead linebacker Rogers sees red, lands at Miami (OH)

Prep football in Ft. Wayne just got a little redder.

Homestead junior outside linebacker Camden Rogers committed to Miami (OH) this week, giving the Red Hawks one of the top defensive prospects in the state’s Class of 2020. Rogers (6-foot-1, 215 pounds) is a tenacious tackling machine sideline to sideline, the kind of playmaker who is all heart and soul and a true leader.

Last fall, Rogers recorded 105 tackles and six sacks on a Homestead squad that went 7-4. His relentless spirit on the field is contagious and defines him as a football player. The speed and strength factor is off the charts with this kid. Can you say SWAGGER by the truckload?

Rogers chose Miami (OH) over Ball State, Toledo, Western Michigan, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Indiana State, UMass and Air Force.

Miami (OH) finished 6-6 in 2018.
