Novi’s Jessie Bandyk earns Miss Soccer from MIHSSCA; Eichenlaub, Fenchel, Woodbeck all earn Dream Team honors to go with state titles

Fresh off her team’s successful title defense, Novi senior midfielder Jessie Bandyk was named Miss Soccer Monday by the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association.
Bandyk, who had 12 goals and 15 assists for the Wildcats, was joined on the Dream Team by junior teammate Avery Fenchel (26 goals, 15 assists). The two combined to lead Novi to a second straight Division 1 title on Saturday, and the program’s seventh championship in 15 seasons. Bandyk had a pair of goals in the 5-0 win, while Fenchel had a goal.
Birmingham Marian’s Jansen Eichenlaub (25 goals, 8 assists), named the Gatorade Michigan Girls Soccer Player of the Year late last week, was also named to the Dream Team, after helping the Mustangs Saturday to a third straight Division 2 title and an eighth championship in 17 seasons. Royal Oak Shrine’s Chloe Woodbeck, who helped lead the Knights to their first-ever state title in Division 4, and the school’s first title in any sport since 1974, also made the Dream Team in her only season of high school soccer.
