Our Michigan Helmet Challenge winner is …

After 65 head-to-head contests, six rounds of action and nearly 48,000 total votes cast over the last two weeks, we have a winner.
Livonia Franklin defeated Troy, by a margin of 50.1 to 49.1 percent of 2,873 total votes, and now moves on to the national helmet challenge tournament later this month. The championship battle was tied for fourth-closest voting in the entire contest.
Congratulations to both teams, and thank you to everyone for participating, and making it a good way to keep our minds off more dire events in the world.
