Voting for the 2022 Michigan High School Mr. Football contest - sponsored by Hungry Howies – has ended!
Congratulations to all our contestants this year and to our Final Four below! And Congratulations to the 2022 Michigan High School Mr. Football Award Winner - Warren De La Salle senior quarterback Brady Drogosh!!
Drogosh is the thirteenth recipient of the award, which was first handed out back in 2010. Drogosh beat out other finalists, Detroit King senior quarterback Dante Moore (Oregon), Caledonia senior quarterback Mason McKenzie and Dexter senior tailback Cole Cabana (Michigan), for the honor. Last month, the dynamic 6-foot-5 dual-threat, who is committed to Cincinnati, led his Pilots team to a second straight Division 2 state championship.
In the state finals, a 52-13 defeat of Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central, Drogosh threw for 250 yards and 2 touchdowns and rushed for 152 yards and 3 touchdowns to cap a magnificent career under center heading the Pilots offense and becoming an all-time MHSAA and CHSL great in the process.
Moore, one of the highest-recruited players in the nation's Class of 2023, won Mr. Football last year. Like Drogosh, Moore took his King Crusaders club to a repeat state title at Ford Field in November (King topped Muskegon 56-27 in the Division 3 state finals).
