Welcome to the 2021 Michigan High School Softball Player of the Year Contest sponsored by Total Softball and State Champs! The fan voting portion of the Contest is ON!!!
To vote, please login/register with your social media account below, select the candidate that you believe is having the best year in High School Softball, and cast your vote!! Voting is limited to once every 3 minutes, so please refresh your browser after the allotted timeframe to cast another vote! By voting in the High School Softball Player of the Year Contest, you agree to allow State Champs! Network and its affiliates to update you via email about news, sports events and special offers.

Unlike any other state-wide award, State Champs! contests are the only one that allows the Michigan fans to weigh in! The winner of the online vote is automatically entered into the Final Four, and their chances of winning is increased by 20%. The criteria that will be used to select the 2021 Michigan High School Softball Player of the Year Contest champion will be:
Performance Throughout Season 30%, Level Of Competition 20%, Online Vote 20%, Big Game Performance 15%, Team Success 10%, Highly Recruited Athlete 5%.

Throughout the season our Media analysts will be monitoring Softball games and player performances from across the state, and updating the top 10 performing Softball players. Contestants will be added or removed from the contest throughout the season based on their individual performance and impact for their team - so please check back and vote regularly to keep Your candidate in the race!.

The final award selection and presentation will take place with our good friends at Total Softball! Please check out State Champs! A two-sport athlete who also plays on the Wildcats’ powerhouse volleyball squad that made it to the Division 1 semifinals this past winter, Bennett has made the most of her first spring sports action, dominating from the pitching circle. Commitment: Purdue

Earned first-team all-state honors and Flint-area softball POY honors as a sophomore after leading the Bobcats to league and district championships, going 20-5 with a 1.20 ERA and a .567 WHIP. She struck out 299 batters and walked 12, throwing two perfect games, six no-hitters and 10 shutouts. Hit .536 with 24 doubles and drove in 40 runs. Ranked the No. 12 pitcher in the 2021 class nationally by Extra Innings Softball, and is on the Central Region watch list for the Premier Girls Fastpitch High School All-American Game. Robeson started at shortstop as a freshman, helping the Eagles make it to the title game, where they fell to Caledonia and 2018 Total Softball POY Sammie Gehrls. She formed a double-play combination with older sister Bri Robeson (Toledo), and the two will be able to be on the same field again in college in the Mid-American Conference after Delaney graduates. She currently leads the No. 1-ranked Eagles in nine different offensive categories, including runs, home runs and RBI. Started at third base as a freshman in 2018, then slid behind the plate to replace D2 all-state catcher Julia Vollmer as a sophomore — a season that was rescued at the last minute by good medical news that she wouldn’t miss it with a back injury. Had a combined 73 RBI and 13 home runs her first two seasons, hitting .442 with 44 RBI and seven HRs as a sophomore. She’s on the Premier Girls Fastpitch All-American watch list for the Central Region. LATEST STATS: .606, 9 HR, 4-2Bs, 1-3B, 22 RBI, 16 R, .682 OBP, 2.030 SLG

Hit .470 with 60 RBI in 2019, and went 8-1 from the circle with a 1.40 ERA as Howell’s No. 2 pitcher, helping the Highlanders to the Division 1 title game. Amassed 24 home runs and 119 RBI over her first two high school seasons, hitting 17 of those in a sophomore season that saw the Highlanders break the old state record for homers as a team but fall one shy of sharing the new record (63) with New Baltimore Anchor Bay. Already this season, Wolverton threw a perfect game against Livonia Stevenson, striking out 19.
