What time is it? Hockey Time! Voting for the 2022-23 Michigan High School Hockey Player of the Year contest - sponsored by Warrior Sports is now open! Unlike any other state-wide award, this is the only one that allows the Michigan fans to weigh in! The winner of the online vote is automatically entered into the Final “Frozen” Four, and their chances of winning is increased by 20%.

To vote, please login/register with your social media account below, select the candidate that you believe is having the best year in High School Hockey, and cast your vote!! Voting is limited to once every 3 minutes, so please refresh your browser after the allotted timeframe to cast another vote! By voting in the HPOTY contest, you agree to allow State Champs! Network and its affiliates to update you via email about news, sports events and special offers.

The criteria that will be used to select the 2022-23 Hockey Player of the Year champion will be: 30% - Performance Throughout Season 20% - Level of Competition 20% - Online Vote 15% - Big Game Performance 10% - Team Success 5% - Highly Recruited Prospect. Throughout the season, our media analysts have been monitoring performance, updating player statistics and adding new candidates into the contest as their actual play and performance merits, with a goal of keeping the ten best hockey players on the board. Logan is back with the Bulldogs for his senior year, after playing elsewhere in 21-22. In his sophomore year, Nickolaus put up 44 points in 14 games, and he's off to a fast start again in 22-23. Stats through 1/15: 14 Goals, 18 assists, 32 points

A big part of one of the best lines in the State, Cameron is looking to build on a fantastic Sophomore campaign. Camden is in the running for the second straight year, and coming off a campaign that saw him score 31 goals and 60 points in 29 games. "Cam is a gifted offensive player with good size and speed. Jack was a player opposing coaches were raving about after a junior season that saw him put up 17 goals and 31 points in only 13 games. "Jack is a strong forward with a high motor and a TON of grit. There was some question as to Owen returning to the Spartans in 22-23, but the Spartan fans are glad he is back after a JR season that saw him put up 51 points in 25 games. "Owen is a long framed player with a heavy game and a nose for the net. He has shown the ability to score in a variety of ways." - Ryan Ossenmacher, Northville Head Coach. Landon has been in the conversation for POY for a couple years now, and both he and the Shamrocks are off to a fast start in 22-23. "He has been great in all areas of the ice for us. Obviously, the numbers speak for themselves, but you get rewarded when you play the right way, and he has done that. He's been dynamic offensively, but has done so without cheating the game or the team to do so.
