The Circle City gunslinger is gearing up for some major Rocky Mountain air raids in his future.
Indianapolis Cathedral junior field general Danny O’Neil, Hoosierland’s top quarterback prospect, has committed to Colorado and Coach Prime.
O’Neil took Cathedral to a state championship as a sophomore and last season led the Shamrocks to a state-semifinal appearance. He also had offers from Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, Northwestern, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Louisville, Wake Forest, Duke and Syracuse among others. Over the past two seasons, O’Neil has passed for more than 5,500 yards and thrown 55 touchdowns. Not simply a pretty-boy pocket passer, O’Neil is Brett Favre tough and posted 20 rushing scores the last two years as well.
NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders aka “Coach Prime” accepted the head-coaching position at Colorado in the winter after a successful stint at HBCU Jackson State.
