Michigan 8-player top 10 football rankings after Week 6 of the 2019 regular season

Only one of the 8-player teams STATE CHAMPS! top 10 rankings lost in Week 6, with then-No. 9 Suttons Bay falling by a point at home to No. 4 Gaylord St. Mary. The Norsemen drop into the honorable mention ranks, replaced by new No. 10 Mio. Like the Snowbirds of St. Mary — the only team to beat them so far — the Thunderbolts from Mio AuSable High School are in their first season of 8-player football, and thriving. Mio lost its final 23 games in 11-player football, going winless in 2017 and 2018.

The bonus? After Gaylord St. Mary beat Mio, 48-32, in Week 2, the two teams will have a rematch in Week 8.
