Michigan football rankings after Week 3 of 2019: Three more drop out, making room for Chelsea, Plymouth, Portage Northern

There was less upheaval in Week 3 than in Week 2, but there were still a handful of teams that dropped out of the top 25 after losses dropped them to 1-2. A few more teams that dropped out a week ago after winless starts picked up their first ‘W’ of the season, moving to 1-2 as well. It looks weird without some of those blue-blood programs in the top 25, for sure, but it’s even weirder to think that Detroit Catholic Central, Clarkston, Detroit King and Detroit Cass Tech are a collective 4-8 on the year. All of them could play their way back in — starting with the winners of this week’s match-ups, but it’ll be a long haul.
