Michigan top 25 smaller-school rankings after Week 5 of the 2019 regular season
The two clashes between top-ranked teams — No. 4 Portland and No. 5 Lansing Catholic; as well as No. 17 Montague vs. HM Muskegon Oakridge — both resulted in nailbiters, as well as a bit of movement in the rankings, as Portland moved up to No. 3, and Oakridge entered the rankings at No. 21. Muskegon Orchard View also popped into the rankings, tied for the 25th spot with Calumet.
