If there’s one thing we have found out halfway through the season, it’s that Division 3 is tough with a handful of teams with legit shots to win the D-3 championship.  The lone Division 4 team is a familiar name in Southfield Christian as they look to win their sixth Division 4/Class D championship since 2012.

Flint Beecher (Division 3 — 9-1, 6-0 GAC) — The Buccaneers are No. 3 in the state’s overall rankings, tops amongst small schools.

Hanover-Horton (Division 3 — 6-1, 4-0 Cascades Conference) — Lone loss is to Division 1 Grand Rapids Union by two.

Iron Mountain (Division 3 — 9-0, 2-0 West PAC East) — Undefeated and eyeing a return to the Breslin Center in late March.

Southfield Christian (Division 4 — 8-2, 5-0 MIAC-Blue) — The top team in Division 4.

DEPSA (Division 3 — 5-3) — The toughest schedule in the state.

Maple City Glen Lake (Division 3 — 8-1, 5-0 Northwest Conference) — Lone loss is to Division 1 Traverse City West and bunch of quality wins.

Laingsburg (Division 3 — 8-1, 6-1 CMAC) — Leader of the CMAC, loaded with Division 3 contenders.

Pewamo-Westphalia (Division 3 — 8-1, 5-1 CMAC) — Lone loss is to No. 7 Laingsburg by two.

Schoolcraft (Division 3 — 10-0, 7-0 SWAC Valley) — Undefeated an eyeing a return to the Breslin for the first time in nearly 10 seasons.
