  1. Orchard Lake St. Mary’s (2-0): Defeated Harper Woods Chandler Park 24-12 on Friday. The Eaglets face their most difficult challenge to date when they host Mishawaka (IN) Penn, which defeated Birmingham Brother Rice, 29-7, this Friday.
  2. Detroit Cass Tech (2-0), A: Defeated Detroit Cody 47-6 and will host Detroit Mumford (1-1) Friday afternoon.
  3. Detroit King (2-0), A: The Crusaders had an easy time last Friday as they defeated Detroit Western 42-0 and will host Detroit East English Village Prep (2-0) on Friday in what promises to be one of the state’s top games.
  4. Canton (2-0), A: The Chiefs held on to defeat Hartland, 27-21, last Thursday. The Chiefs begin division play in the KLAA on Friday at home against Livonia Franklin (1-1).
  5. Saline (2-0), A: The Hornets didn’t have much trouble last Friday (they defeated Toronto St. Michaels 55-14). They are expected to be tested this week when they travel to Ann Arbor Skyline (2-0) to face the resurgent Eagles.
  6. Macomb Dakota (2-0), A: The Cougars received four rushing touchdowns from Kaiser Carleton and defeated rival Clinton Township Chippewa Valley 28-24. This week Dakota plays at Warren Mott (2-0) in another MAC Red Division game.
  7. East Kentwood (1-0), A: The Falcons had to pull one out of the fire late at Farmington Hills Harrison (35-28). Quarterback Evan Maday showed poise in his first start. The Falcons should have an easier time this week against East Lansing.
  8. Hudsonville (2-0), A: The Eagles spotted Holt an early lead before coming back to win, 28-14. Hudsonville should be 3-0 when it faces Grand Haven (1-0).
  9. Walled Lake Western (2-0), A: The Warriors showed poise in the second half as they came back to defeat Lowell, 42-40. Quarterback Kyle Thomas is making people take notice. The next few games should be no trouble for Western beginning with Salem (1-0).
  10. Detroit Catholic Central (1-1), A: The Shamrocks lost to Toledo Whitmer (2-0) 19-11 but, at this time, this must be considered a good loss because Whitmer is a perennial power in northern Ohio. C.C. plays Toronto St. Michaels this week.
  11. West Bloomfield (2-0), A: The Lakers defeated Troy 42-0 last week and now have scored 101 points. This week they host Clarkston (1-1). Clarkston won last year, 55-41.
  12. Muskegon (1-1), A:  The Big Reds dismantled Grand Rapids Christian 42-14 and this week they begin O-K Red Division play at home against Grandville (2-0).
  13. Lowell (1-1), A: The Red Arrows rebounded nicely after their opening-week loss to W.L. Western by pasting Chicago Hubbard, 44-0. This Friday they host Jenison in their annual “Pink” game to benefit cancer research.
  14. Clinton Township Chippewa Valley (1-1), A: For the second consecutive week the Big Reds gave up 28 points. This time they lost (Macomb Dakota, 28-24). No time to lick their wounds as they play at Sterling Heights Stevenson (2-0).
  15.  Mount Pleasant (2-0), A: The Oilers won at Flint Carman-Ainsworth, 31-13, and will continue this week as the road team (Saginaw Arthur Hill) before hosting Midland (2-0).
  16.  Midland (2-0), A: The Chemics whipped Bay City Central, 48-7, and now face Flint Northwestern.
  17. Muskegon Mona Shores (2-0), A: For the second consecutive week the Sailors scored 55 points (55-14 over Fruitport). The meat of their schedule begins this week as they host Rockford (1-1).
  18.  Detroit East English Village Prep (2-0), A: East English showed last week (56-20 over Walled Lake Central) that Cass Tech and King aren’t the only good teams in the PSL. Last week the Bulldogs defeated Detroit Renaissance, 40-7.
  19. Warren De La Salle (1-1): A: The Pilots got a breather after a tough first-week loss to King. They whipped Windsor Cardinal Carter, 56-7. Windsor Holy Name travels to Wayne State to play the Pilots on Friday.
  20. Romeo (2-0), A: The Bulldogs bulled over Grosse Pointe South 28-0 as play began in the MAC White Division. Next up is Utica (1-1).
  21. Lapeer (2-0), A: The Lightning cruised past Flint Northwestern 35-8 and now face Bay City Central.
  22. Howell (2-0), A: Howell blew past Westland John Glenn, 37-7, and this week the Howell play at KLAA West Division rival Hartland (1-1).
  23. Caledonia (2-0), A: The Scots defeated Grand Rapids South Christian 23-7 and now they go to East Grand Rapids for an O-K White showdown.
  24. Zeeland West (2-0), B: West has scored 116 points after defeating Swartz Creek 74-34. The Dux have Wayland Union (0-2) next.
