Top 25 HS Football Teams: Muskegon remains No. 1; Oak Park moves back into top 10

1. Muskegon (5-0), A: C.J. Jefferson rushed for 57 yards and two TDs on five carries as the Big Reds ran past Muskegon Reeths-Puffer, 61-0.
2. Detroit Cass Tech (3-1), A: The Technicians defeated Detroit College Prep, 35-0, and will play host to Detroit Cody on Friday.
3. Utica Eisenhower (5-0), A: Eisenhower held Romeo to 112 yards and defeated the Bulldogs, 34-0. The Eagles host Macomb L’Anse Creuse North on Friday. Only one team (Warren Mott, 3-2) left on Eisenhower’s schedule has a winning record.
4. Detroit King (4-1), A: King squashed Detroit Renaissance, 60-0, last week and will play at undefeated Detroit Denby on Friday.
5. Muskegon Mona Shores (5-0), A: The Sailors defeated Jenison, 42-7, last week and will play at Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills on Friday.
6. East Grand Rapids (5-0), A: The Pioneers defeated Wyoming, 46-0, last and will play at Grand Rapids Christian on Friday in a game that will likely decide the O-K Conference Gold Division title.
7. Lowell (4-1), A: The Red Arrows defeated a pesky Greenville team, 21-7, last week and will play at Cedar Springs on Friday.
8. Clinton Township Chippewa Valley (4-1), A: The Big Reds had little trouble defeating Warren Mott, 45-12, last week. Coach Scott Merchant wasn’t pleased with the number of mistakes (penalties and missed assignments) and he said they need to correct those to become a viable contender when the state playoffs start. Chippewa Valley will host Utica on Friday.
9. Traverse City West (5-0), A: West defeated Alpena, 58-0, last week and will host Benton Harbor this Friday.
10. Oak Park (4-1), A: The Knights whipped Rochester Hills Stoney Creek, 48-0, last week and will host Berkley on Friday.
11. Davison (5-0), A: The Cardinals continue to impress as quarterback Cannon Hall ran for a TD and passed for a TD in a 42-0 victory over Saginaw.
12. Saline (4-1), A: The Hornets defeated Ann Arbor Skyline, 50-7, and will play at Monroe on Friday.
13. Belleville (5-0), A: The Tigers blew past Dearborn, 58-0, last week and will play at Dearborn Fordson on Friday.
14. Dearborn Divine Child (5-0), B: The Falcons trailed U-D Jesuit 17-0 last week before coming back to win, 29-24. Noah DeGuzman rushed for 81 yards and two TDs for Divine Child. The Falcons play Warren DeLaSalle at Wayne State on Friday.
15. Grand Rapids Christian (5-0), A: Christian got past Cedar Springs, 48-44, last week and will play East Grand Rapids at home on Friday.
16. Canton (4-1), A: Canton whipped Novi, 56-12, last week and will play at Livonia Stevenson on Friday.
17. Fenton (5-0), A: Quarterback Josh Czarnota rushed for two TDs as the Tigers defeated Clio, 49-12. This Friday they play at Holly.
18. West Bloomfield (3-2), A: Bryce Veasley scored the winning TD as the Lakers slipped past Rochester Adams, 17-16. West Bloomfield will host Oxford on Thursday.
19. Detroit East English Village Prep (5-0), A: The Bulldogs defeated Detroit Delta Prep, 40-6, last week and will host Detroit Western on Friday.
20. Dearborn Fordson (5-0), A: The Tractors defeated Dearborn Heights Crestwood, 26-14, last week and will host Belleville on Friday. The teams have split their last four games.
21. Macomb Dakota (4-1), A: Dakota defeated Sterling Heights Stevenson, 38-19, last week and will host Utica Ford on Friday.
22. Warren DeLaSalle (4-1), A: The Pilots continue to play well as they defeated Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, 26-7, last week. They host Dearborn Divine Child on Friday.
23. Detroit Catholic Central (3-2), A: The Shamrocks scored a late touchdown and defeated Birmingham Brother Rice, 27-23. They host Dayton Dunbar on Saturday.
24. Grandville (4-1), A: The Bulldogs upset East Kentwood, 28-14, moved back into the top 25 and will host Rockford on Friday.
25. Rochester Adams (4-1), A: The Highlanders lost to West Bloomfield, 17-16, and will host Southfield A&T on Friday.
