Top 25 rankings: Cass Tech enters PSL playoffs at No. 1, Romeo debuts in top 25

1. Detroit Cass Tech (7-0), A: The Technicians have the top seed for the start of this week’s PSL playoffs after defeating Detroit Osborn 34-0. This week Cass Tech will play an opponent to be determined in a PSL semifinal on Friday.

2. Detroit Catholic Central (7-0), A: Nick Capatina scored two TDs to lead C.C. past Orchard Lake St. Mary’s 28-7 as the Shamrocks clinched the Catholic League Central Division title. C.C. will host Warren De La Salle in the annual Boys Bowl on Oct. 16.

3. Utica Eisenhower (7-0), A: The Eagles defeated Sterling Heights Stevenson 42-13 and will play Warren Mott at Utica on Friday.

4. Muskegon (6-1), A: The Big Reds keep rolling as they defeated Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills 49-7. Muskegon has outscored its last three opponents 184-7. Muskegon will host Muskegon Mona Shores on Friday.

5. Walled Lake Western (6-1), A: Kam Ford had five receptions for 86 yards and one TD to lead Western to a 31-16 victory over Walled Lake Northern to clinch the KLAA North Division title. Western will play at White Lake Lakeland on Friday.

6. Saline (7-0), A: The Hornets breezed past Monroe, 56-8, and will play at Tecumseh on Friday.

7. Lowell (7-0), A: Lowell clinched at least a share of the O-K White Division title by defeating Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central 41-37 and will play at Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern on Friday.

8. Detroit King (6-1), A: King defeated Detroit East English Village Prep 45-37 and will play in a Detroit PSL semifinal this week against an opponent to be determined.

9. Davison (7-0), A: Davison held Lapeer to 126 yards and Tariq Reid rushed for 228 yards and three TDs as Davison defeated the Lightning 28-7. Davison will play at Lapeer on Friday. 

10. Dearborn Fordson (7-0), A: The Tractors defeated Dearborn Heights Robichaud, 59-18, to set up a showdown with rival Dearborn (6-1) at Fordson on Friday.

11. Traverse City Central (7-0), A: Central defeated Alpena 41-14 on Friday and will play Birmingham Brother Rice at Berkley on Saturday.

12. Temperance Bedford (6-1), A: The Kicking Mules defeated Ann Arbor Huron, 41-0, to clinch a playoff spot and will at Dexter on Friday.

13. Rockford (5-2), A: The Rams defeated Holland West Ottawa 51-14 and will play at East Kentwood on Friday

14. Grandville (6-1), A: Grandville defeated Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills 45-6 and will host Caledonia on Friday.

15. River Rouge (6-1), B: River Rouge defeated Detroit Voyageur 58-0 and will host Detroit University Prep Science and Math on Friday.

16. Grand Ledge (6-1), A: The Comets defeated Lansing Everett 28-21 and will play at East Lansing on Friday.

17. Allen Park (7-0), A: The Jaguars defeated Melvindale 45-17 and can clinch the Downriver League title with a victory over Lincoln Park on Friday.

18. Birmingham Groves (7-0), A: The Falcons defeated Rochester Adams 15-8 to clinch at least a share of the OAA White Division title. Groves can clinch the title outright with a victory over Farmington on Friday.  

19. Hudsonville (6-1) A: Quarterback Jack Mandryk scored two TDs and the Eagles defeated Caledonia 35-12. They will play at Grand Haven on Friday.

20. Northville (6-1), A: The Mustangs defeated Livonia Stevenson 30-24 and will host Novi on Friday.

21. DeWitt (6-1), A: The Panthers defeated St. Johns 27-7 and will host Menominee on Friday.

22. Menominee (7-0), B: The Maroons defeated Sault Ste. Marie, 56-8, and will play at DeWitt on Friday.

23. Canton (5-2), A: The Chiefs ran over Wayne Memorial 56-0 and will host Westland John Glenn on Friday.

24. Dearborn (6-1), A: The Pioneers whipped Livonia Clarenceville 56-6 for their sixth consecutive victory. On Friday the Pioneers will play at Dearborn Fordson.

25. Romeo (5-2), A: Romeo defeated Warren Mott 31-8 and will play at Macomb Dakota on Friday.
