STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: AA Huron’s Julian Lewis commits to William & Mary

Another of Michigan’s talented boys basketball class of 2021 has gone off the board, as Ann Arbor Huron’s Julian Lewis announced Sunday evening his commitment to William & Mary.
The 6-foot-6 shooting guard made his announcement on Twitter.
“Thank you to all the coaches who have been a part of my life and journey, especially my high school coaches, trainers, AAU coaches, teammates as well as my friends and family who have all pushed me to be the best version of myself every day,” wrote Lewis, as part of the commitment post. “I am very thankful for my parents and my two brothers who have been there for me on and off the court every step of the way.”
Lewis was honorable mention all-state from The Associated Press, BCAM’s Best from the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan, and one of five finalists for the boys basketball slot on the STATE CHAMPS! All-Junior Team.
Lewis ranked No. 18 on the SC! Top 100 players list (regardless of class) headed into last season.
Despite missing some time with a fractured wrist last season, Lewis helped Huron to a 21-1 campaign, and the River Rats were through to the district finals against defending champ Ypsilanti Lincoln when the season was halted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
