STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: Brownsburg DE to be a Bronco, WMU makes Street offer he can’t refuse
Broncos fans will fall in love with the Brownsburg QB Bomber the minute he walks on campus.
Brownsburg defensive end Isaiah Street committed to Western Michigan University last weekend, giving the Broncos a high-value grab from Hoosierland’s Class of ’22. The 6-foot-5 Street is a runaway freight train coming off the edge rushing the passer and is known far and wide for his gritty demeanor on the gridiron and his lunch pale mentality in preparation. He registered 40 tackles and 4 sacks last season as a junior on an 8-2 Bulldogs squad and is the definition of ferocity off the snap.
Offers being doled out in Indy
Warren Central wide receiver Joe Walker might be the hottest wide out on the market in Hoosierland by the end of the month. The Warriors’ 6-5 Class of ’23 typhoon of terror in the pass game plucked his first power conference offer from Purdue early in June. Walker only had two touchdowns last fall, but expect his numbers in both receiving yardage and scoring grabs to increase tenfold in the 2021 campaign.
Indianapolis Cathedral defensive tackle Kendrick Gilbert recently garnered offers from Notre Dame, Penn State, Kentucky and Missouri. The incoming junior helped Cathedral to its 13th IHSAA state championship last November. He’s 6-foot-5, 265 pounds and as agile on his feet as he is thunderous in his tackling ability.
The Top 3 TEs Available In The IHSAA’s Class of ’22
1 Jeffrey Simmons (Fishers 6-6, 210) — Think Travis Kelce, think can’t miss in the Big Ten.
2 Max Sullivan (Whiteland 6-6, 240) — Just massive upside at the next level.
3 Tyler Dostin (Danville 6-3, 230) — Locked and loaded for a huge summer on the camp circuit.
