STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: Eying the fast-improving — Who has gone next-level on the hardwood?

By: SCOTT M. BURNSTEIN, January 16, 2022, 2:58 pm

A half-dozen boys hoopsters from Metro Detroit who have caught Burney’s eye with their improvement this season so far:

Mike Sulaka (Warren De La Salle C/F Jr.) — Long, active, coachable and beginning to dominate around the rim.

Andrew Turnquist (Lakeland F Jr.) — Turned himself into a complete player inside and out, the midseason MVP of the LVC.

Ryan Hatcher (Detroit UDJ G Soph.) — Giving the Cubs fabulous minutes, efficient, slick and always on time with his effort.

Nate Steinman (Clarkston G Sr.) — Used to be just a shooter, now he’s a scorer.

Chris Williams (Ferndale F Jr.) — Developing into a double-double machine for Team Rickman.

Landon Williams (North Farmington G Soph.) — Blossoming into a top rate floor general and scoring threat simultaneously.
