DI commitments

Gavin Hardeman (West Bloomfield 6-2, 180 S) — Committed to Air Force, Hardeman is a rangy ball hawk with a colossal upside at the next level. He logged 80 tackles and five pass breakups last season.

Dajhon Smith (Detroit King 6-2, 180 CB) — Committed to Central Michigan, Smith, dubbed “Deniro” by his teammates because he’s straight cash money in pass coverage, is a value steal for the Chips coaching staff.

DI-Subdivision Commitments

Mahki Matthews (Wyoming 6-4, 210 WR) — Committed to Morgan St., Matthews is a tall, sleek wide receiver with wheels and big-time playmaker written all over him.

Zach Poff (Ithaca 5-10, 170 WR) — Committed to Dayton, the sure-handed Poff is a real diamond in the ruff and a total terror out of the slot. Scouts consider him the consummate possession receiver.

Caden Woodall (Livonia Stevenson RB) — Committed to Harvard, the tough-as-nails Woodall could have easily played in a bigger conference, but instead is headed to the Ivy League. Last fall, he rushed for 1,126 yards and 16 touchdowns. Woodall had other offers from Central Michigan, Army, Air Force and Bowling Green.

GLIAC Commitments

Kyler Blake-Jones (Saline OL) — Committed to Grand Valley State, KBJ is a road grader with great footwork.

Anthony Cardamone (Utica Eisenhower LB) — Committed to Grand Valley State, Cardamone might be the most underrated defensive player in all of Macomb County.

Walker Martin (Montague OL) — Committed to Grand Valley State, Martin is a manchild in the trenches and a ferocious competitor.

Mason Shroad (Olivet DL) — Committed to Grand Valley State, Shroad is the definition of a rugged run plugger and the ultimate “glue guy.”

Tanner Slazinski (Bloomfield Hills QB) — Committed to Saginaw Valley State, Slazinski is a gunslinger with a smooth release and a take no prisoners approach to the position. He passed for 2,000 yards and 23 TDs in 2019, twice throwing five scores in a half.
