STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: Getting To Know The QB — Gordon brings the flash & dash for Park Tudor

By: SCOTT M. BURNSTEIN, September 10, 2021, 4:03 pm

Indianapolis Park Tudor sophomore field general Darrell “D.J.” Gordon is the best quarterback you haven’t heard about yet in the Circle City. That’s about to change.

Gordon had a big offseason and got off to a big start this year.

The 6-foot-0, 200-pound dual-threat dandy led Park Tudor to two wins out of the gate in 2021, after a .500 campaign last fall (they’ve since lost 23-18 to Centreville in Week 3).

Since earning the starting job during his freshman campaign, Gordon has been the picture of accuracy, efficiency and pure electricity. Through two weeks of this season,  Park Tudor had outscored its opponents 80-8, and Gordon had thrown 14 touchdowns against four picks in his varsity career..

Over the summer, Gordon camped at Notre Dame, Georgia Tech and Harvard. In addition to his accolades on the gridiron, he maintains an Ivy League caliber scholastic record in the classroom. Expect Gordon to be receiving scholarship offers before this season’s end.
