STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: Getting To Know The QB — Rohlman proving to be a revelation under center for Perry Meridian
He’s not Tom Cruise, but please, cue the “Mission Impossible” theme song.
Perry Meridian field general Mason Rohlman is on a mission for respect for himself and his PM program. Judging by the early results, Rohlman is the real deal and trending towards finding a place for Perry Meridian in the Circle City prep gridiron scene.
With Rohlman at the controls of the team’s offense for his senior campaign at PM has won more games this past two weeks than they did in the previous two years combined. Rohlman (6-foot-1, 185 pounds) completed 26 of 36 for 246 yards and two touchdowns in his club’s 21-19 over Franklin in Week 2 to push PM’s win streak to two in a row. PM went 1-10 and 0-10 in 2019 and 2021, respectively.
His efficiency and composure has been more than impressive and quite timely. Rolhman is sporting a 65 percent completion rate on his passes, averaging 260 yards per game through the air. He’s thrown six touchdowns and no picks and has defensive coordinators starting to shake in their working boots.
The vision he displays on his throws and reads would make you believe Rohlman was a savvy vet, with three years of starting experience under his belt. The command he shows in the huddle and in the pocket is making everyone take notice.
Roll, Mason, Roll!!!
