STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: In the Nick Of Time >> Late connections for IHSAA football signees bring holiday cheer

These last-second Signing Day grabs really moved the needle in Hoosierland recruiting circles and gave this six-pack of prospects a merrier than usual holiday season:
Yanni Karlaftis (West Lafayette 6-3, 205 LB) — Signed with Purdue, Karlaftis is a top-10 talent in the state and a bull in a china shop sideline to sideline wreaking havoc.
Ronnie Powlus (Mishawaka Penn 6-3, 225 QB) — Signed with Notre Dame, Powlus is a field general legacy in South Bend and represents great value as a recruit.
Duce Taylor (Ft. Wayne North Side 6-1, 175 QB) — Signed with Morgan State, Taylor is lightning in a bottle under center, threads needles, drops dimes like a prep version of Russell Wilson.
Colton Parker (Carmel 6-1, 170 WR) — Signed with Miami (OH), Parker might be the toughest, most reliable pass-catching prospect in his class (his versatility makes him stand out, too, having quarterbacked the Greyhounds to a state title) .
Zavier Simpson (Indianapolis Pike 6-3, 185 WR) —Signed with Wake Forest, Simpson, a sleek deep threat, vacated his Air Force commitment to go play in the ACC.
Grayden Addison (Noblesville) — Signed with Kansas as a preferred walk-on, Addison is one of the premier punting prospects in the Midwest.
