STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: No Sleep ‘Til Terre Haute – Westfield’s Hauser Commits To ISU, Brings Great Value On Both Sides Of Ball
The best all-around gridiron gladiator in Hoosierland is ready to be a Sycamore and stay in-state.
Westfield senior running back Micah Hauser, one of the most versatile and gutty playmakers in the Indianapolis the past two years, has committed to play his college football at Indiana State.
Hauser (5-10, 195) helped lead his Westfield Shamrocks on back-to-back trips to the Class 6A state finals. As a senior, Hauser rushed for 1, 280 yards and 26 touchdowns. In 2020, he amassed 1,096 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground. He was offered by Indiana State in the days before the 2021 state championship game.
Oh, and the kid can play a little defense, too. Going sideline to sideline like a mountain lion, he racked up 116 tackles and 3 picks at a free safety spot.
ISU has reeled in a true supersonic sleeper special for its Class of ’22 in “Hot Sauce” Hauser. The competitive spirit, the motor and the pigskin IQ will translate beautifully to the next level in Sycamoreland and show everybody in Terre Haute that he is Big Ten-caliber soon enough.
