STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: Ringing The Bell — Carmel’s Suder shoots his way to DI, commits to Bellarmine

The bling will go with him across state lines. The warrior’s spirit he embodies will be heading to the Bluegrass State, too.

Carmel senior hoopster Pete Suder committed to play his college ball at Bellarmine in Kentucky earlier this month in the midst of gunning for a third state-championship ring.

The 6-foot-4 Suder is a four-year starter and three-year captain for the Greyhounds. He’s the definition of a winner and a complete package at the two-guard spot. Suder shoots the rock like a pro and defends at an elite level. This winter, he’s averaging 17 points per game and connecting on more than 50 percent of his field goals.

Bellarmine is located in Louisville. The Knights recently made the jump to DI from the DII ranks and compete out of the ASUN Conference. Super’s dad Rick starred in the backcourt at Duquesne in the 1980s.
