STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: Rushing To Conclusions — How They Stack Up: 2021 RB Power Rankings

IHSAA CLASS OF 2021 RB POWER RANKINGS
Devin Mockobee (Boonville 6-foot-0, 190 pounds) — Committed to Navy, Mockobee is the state’s top rusher (1,412 yards, 21 TDs) and the total package out of the backfield.
Carson Steele (Center Grove 6-2, 210) — Runs with as much heart and soul as any prospect in the Midwest, Steele is a Tim Riggins-like power package rushing the pigskin.
Wenkers Wright (Floyd Central 6-0, 180) — Committed to Illinois State, Wright is nicknamed the “Haitian Hurricane” because he leaves disaster and devastation in his wake when toting the rock.
Omarion Dixon (West Lafayette Harrison 6-1, 220) — The best value of any recruit on the offensive side of the ball in the state right now, this kid is a thoroughbred who runs with purpose and poise.
Thomas Hogan (Lafayette Jefferson 5-10, 175) — Most improved running back in the state, setting the stat sheet on fire (1,162 yards, 18 TDs) with his determined playmaking.
Cameron Hovey (Sheridan 6-0, 190) — Oozing with next-level upside, think Dalvin Cook.
Mark McDonald (Columbus East 6-0, 200) — Oozing with next-level upside, think Alvin Kamara.
Aaron Nevil (North Harrison 5-9, 225) — Possibly the toughest running back to tackle in the state right now (1090 yards, 13 TDs).
Baron Huebler (Roncalli 5-9, 180) — Hardest runner in the state, this kid spits nails.
(tie) Jake Langdon (Indianapolis Cathedral 6-0, 190) — Most rugged runner in the state, ride-or-die-type. Committed to Columbia.
(tie) Jerry Padgett (Western 5-9, 185) — Most under-appreciated running back in the state.
