Burney’s 2021 All-Oakland County Boys Basketball Team
Kareem Rozier (Orchard Lake St. Mary’s 5-9 Jr. G) — Best pure point guard in the state, bar none.
Julian Roper (Orchard Lake St. Mary’s 6-3 Sr. G) — One of the most explosive players on both ends of the court this area has witnessed in the past 20 years. Signed with Northwestern.
Trevor Smith (Stoney Creek 6-2 Sr. G) — Simply put, the TRUTH in every way, shape and form as a floor general, the top player in the whole OAA in ’21 and quite frankly it’s not even a debate.
Deon Hayes (North Farmington 6-3 Sr. G) — Checks all the boxes in the combo guard department, can control a game baseline to baseline.
Basheer Jihad (North Farmington 6-9 Sr. F) — Learned how to dominate this winter and impose his will on opponents on a consistent basis, biggest upside in the state’s senior class at the next level. Signed with Ball State.
Xavier Thomas (Birmingham Brother Rice 6-5 Soph. F) — Oakland County’s own Draymond Green, plays the point forward spot like a pro.
Kevyn Robertson (Walled Lake Northern 6-5 Sr. F) — Just a workhorse wonder on the wing with a silent assassin’s style, you lose focus for a second and boom, the kid has a double-double and hits back-breakers all over the floor. Signed with Spring Arbor.
Jack Kennedy (Ferndale 6-9 Sr. F/C) — After not playing last year, “Da Prez” Patrolled the post with purpose, efficiency and a pit-bull type spirit in becoming the X-Factor for the first Ferndale final four team in three and a half decades.
Trey Lewis (Ferndale 6-5 Jr. G/F) — Smooth as silk, tough as nails swingman with ice in his veins and a killer instinct to score the rock.
Jason “Deuce” Drake (Ferndale 6-1 Jr. G) — The definition of a gunner and clutch performer.
Bryce Bird (South Lyon East 6-0 Sr. G) — Most underrated star player in Oakland County, does all the right things at all the right moments.
Keegan Wasilk (Clarkston 6-1 Jr. G) — The Rock of Gibraltar for C-Town, the perfect picture of a winner, a competitor and a coach on the court.
