STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: The boys are back in town & ready to ball out — Docks, Walters will play ’22 season in MHSAA

The Mitten got welcomed news on the boys basketball front last month.
Two of the best in the backcourt in the state’s Class of 2022 have returned for their senior campaigns: Mason Docks is back at Williamston and Gunner Walters is back at Rochester Adams.
Docks (UM-Baltimore County) and Walters (uncommitted) are both spunky 6-foot point guards with excellent court vision, natural leadership ability and big-play tendencies. Last year, Docks was at Cypress Ridge in Houston and Walters was at Grandview Prep in Boca Raton, Fla.
Walters, the son of retired NBA vet Rex Walters, left Metro Detroit after his freshman season and went to Winston-Salem, North Carolina where his father got a coaching job at Wake Forest University. As a sophomore, he played at Mount Tabour (16 ppg.)
With Docks at controls of the offense at Cypress Ridge last winter, the team went 22-6 and he averaged 15 points and five assists per night.
