STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: Threading needles in the summer sun — Class of ’22 QB watch list

A half-dozen IHSAA quarterbacks in the Class of ’22 to look out for on the recruiting trail this summer:
Carson Clark (Ft. Wayne Bishop Luers 6-foot-2, 180 pounds) — Ended last season as the hottest gunslinger in Hoosierland, possess all the tangibles and intangibles for success in college.
Kale Payne (Danville 6-3, 180) — The picture of precision in the pocket, goes surgical in the blink of an eye.
Aidan Leffler (Roncalli 6-3, 210) — Biggest value-grab at the position, drops sugar dimes in the shadows.
Maximus Webster (Westfield 6-2, 215) — He thought he was destined for the diamond in college, but his ceiling under center on the gridiron could very well be much higher, straight gamer and iron-willed competitor.
Zach Osborne (Carmel 6-2, 210) — Shows great field vision on his reads and throws at all three levels, sharp as a knife operating an offense, underrated arm.
Reece Lozano (Bloomington North 6-1, 185) — Some of the best upside of any player in his class regardless of position, fiery combo of grit and finesse maneuvering his team down the field.
