Storms postpone most Detroit area games

~~Commerce Township – The Walled Lake Central-Northville game scheduled for Friday was stopped midway through the first quarter because of a severe weather conditions and will resume Saturday at 9 a.m. at Central High.
Nick Krumm’s 45-yard touchdown run gave Central (1-0) a 7-0 lead. The six-play drive started on Central’s 39-yard line.
Northville (1-0) gained two first downs on its first possession and faced a second-and-8 from Central’s 48 when play was stopped with six minutes left due to lightning.
Central athletic director Mike Fray officially called the game at 8:30 p.m.
Most of the games in the Metro Detroit area were postponed on Friday.
The Macomb Area Conference Red Division showdown between Macomb Dakota (0-1) and Clinton Township Chippewa Valley (1-0) will start Saturday at 1 p.m.
U-D Jesuit (1-0) will resume its nonleague game with Detroit Country Day (0-1) Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Country Day. The game was scoreless in the first quarter when play was halted.
The South Lyon-Waterford Mott game will resume Saturday at 7 p.m. at Mott. That game was also scoreless in the first quarter.
The Livonia Churchill-Brighton game was scoreless in the first quarter when it was stopped. It will resume today at 10 a.m. at Churchill.  
Warren De La Salle (2-0) led London (Ont.) Clark Road 55-0 after the first quarter when the game was called giving the Pilots the victory.
