Three-time Class D/D4 Player of the Year Adrian Lenawee Christian’s Bree Salenbien commits to Gonzaga
She announced her presence with authority as a precocious freshman, helping guide Adrian Lenawee Christian to a Class D title.
Now she’s announced her plans for the next step of her career.
Lenawee Christian’s Bree Salenbien announced her commitment to Gonzaga on Twitter Tuesday.
“So excited to run with the Zags!” Salenbien tweeted. “Thank you Lord for all the blessings, thank you to all my coaches, family, teammates and community. See you at the Kennel!”
A three-time AP Player of the Year in Class D/Division 4, and a two-time honoree on BCAM’s Best of the Best, Salenbien was a finalist for the STATE CHAMPS! All-Junior Team, and is the No. 32-ranked player in the nation in the class of 2021, according to ESPNW’s HoopGurlz recruiting rankings, and the No. 4-ranked wing in the class.
The 6-foot-3 Salenbien averaged 20.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 3.3 blocks and 3.0 steals for the Cougars this season, as they drove toward their third straight state title before the seasons were halted, but injured her knee prior to the playoffs.
