Winter 2019-20 All-Junior Team watch lists for hockey

By: SEAN BALIGIAN and JON KIDD, February 21, 2020, 1:37 pm

Here is the watch list for this year’s All-Junior Team selection from hockey.

Mining the statistics from this year, as well as last year’s all-state list from the Michigan High School Hockey Coaches Association (MHSHCA), we have a solid working list of kids to keep an eye on, as the winter season progresses. We’ll narrow the field down to four finalists somewhere around the week of April 1, then announce the final winter team (with all winter sports represented) around the end of April.

If you have any suggestions for juniors to add to this list, feel free to send them to us by email, or social media.

Adam Pietila, Hartland

Through Feb. 15, the forward had 22 goals and 17 assists for the two-time defending Division 2 champion Eagles.

Hunter Allen, Trenton

Through Feb. 19, the forward had 13 goals and 21 assists for the two-time D2 runners-up.

Tanne Rowe, Calumet

Through Feb. 20, the forward had 19 goals and 22 assists for the No. 3-ranked Copper Kings. A second-team DIII all-state honoree from the MHSHCA as a sophomore, Rowe is a candidate in our Michigan High School Hockey Player of the Year contest 2020. [VOTE HERE]
